Pharmassured Ltd is a specialist pharmacy based in West Bromwich, Birmingham, established and trading under the name Pharmassured Pharmacy since 2008. We are operated and run by our founder director Mr Raj Chandarana. We aim to improve the quality of life of our clients and support our patients, as well as those looking after them in managing their medicines and support their independence. We believe people should have access to their pharmacist for advice and support at all times and our pharmacists, including our owners, are always at hand to support our patients.
We offer both NHS and private pharmacy services across the West Midlands including Birmingham and Black Country, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, Stoke-on-trent, Cannock, Lichfield, Tamworth, Solihull, Coventry, Leamington and Gloucestershire. We also offer a postal services for products nationwide.
Our Pharmacy specialises in elderly care and we offer tailored care solutions to the carehome and nursing home sector, to those in supported living and with specialist needs, to manage their medicines safely and improve the quality of life of their clients. We also offer private pharmacy services to corporate clients and to several schools in the Birmingham and surrounding areas.

We believe in innovation and are constanstly striving to improve our technology and expertise to meet the needs of the ever changing care sector. Sustainability is at the heart of this, and we have heavily invested in updating our business with latest paperless technology for our pharmacy, eMAR solutions for our care and nursing home clients reducing our paper usage by more than 95%. We are increasing our fleet with electric vans for our drivers to ensure we are doing our part for our environment and local community. More than 97% of our patients prescriptions are now electronic saving thousands of trees and helping to make the NHS and our pharmacy greener.

We can advise you not just on medicines, but nutrition and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Our trained and qualified staff are friendly, professional and treat all queries confidentially.
NHS COMMUNITY PHARMACY CONSULTATIONS SERVICE
We are able to provide advice and support for common conditions as part of the Community Pharmacy Consultation Service (CPCS). Patients referred for a consultation from their GP or the NHS can have a consultation with our pharmacist to help assess and treat common conditions when they are unable to see their GP. This service is open to all patients with a GP surgery in the Midlands who are referred into the service by the NHS.
NHS URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS SERVICE
We are able to provide the NHS funded Urinary Tract Infection service as part of the Community Pharmacy Consultation Service (CPCS). Under this service we can help patients obtain treatment for common uncomplicated Urinary Infections without the need to see their GP. This service is open to all patients with their GP practice in the Midlands. This service includes a conversation with our pharmacist who will assess your condition and offer treatment which is usually free if you do not pay for your prescriptions. NHS URGENT REPEAT MEDICATION SUPPLY
We are able take referrals for Urgent medication from the NHS for patients who are unable to obtain their usual repeat medicaiton from their GP and require an emergency supply in order to continue treatment. Patients must be referred into this services by accessing NHS 111 Emergency Prescriptions online and registering their need for Urgent Medication. On receipt of any referrals our pharmacist will contact the patient to discuss their needs and arrange for a supply of medication if appropriate.
NHS NEW MEDICINE SERVICE
This service is for people who receive their first prescription for a medicine to treat any of the following conditions: Asthma, Lung Conditions, Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure etc. We will help you take your new medicine as recommended and provide advice on how to get the most out of your new medication. We will also provide you with some lifestyle advice related to your condition to help you improve your own health. Please ask us for more information
NHS DISCHARGE MEDICATION SERVICE
Our pharmacists can review your medication when you are discharged from hospital and help to manage any changes to your medication, including speaking to your GP to arrange new prescriptions reflecting any changes made by the hospital, and making sure you understand the changes and can cope with your medicines when you go back home.
NHS SMOKING CESSATION SERVICE
We provide the NHS Smoking Cessation Service in conjuction with local NHS trusts who are able to refer people to help them stop smoking. For any patients referred, we are able to provide help with stop smoking including providing Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) along with advice and support to help them quit. This service is not just limited to NRT and we can also support people who wish to use vapes to help them quit smoking.
NURSING AND CARE HOME SERVICES
Pharmassured offers one of the most comprehensive pharmaceutical services to Nursing and Care Homes. We provide advice and support to boh residents and staff, and our service goes beyond simply dispensing medicines. We help ensure the safe and effective ordering of drugs and appliances and their clinical and cost effective use, their safe storage, supply and administration, disposal and record keeping.
Our operation has an advanced infrastructure with highly efficient procedures using state of the art technology. A combination of factors help us deliver our unique brand of service to Nursing and Care homes. At Pharmassured, administration, logistics, customer support and dispensing services are all located under one roof. This enables us to handle volumes of work with relative ease and efficiency. The dispensary is closed to the public, which means that we do not suffer from the same distractions found in a typical pharmacy dealing with walk-in patients.
Our staff members working on Nursing and Care Home services are trained and experienced to understand the needs of even the most complex homes. All our procedures, from managing the medication cycle in a home to how prescriptions are dispensed, have been carefully and skilfully developed. We understand every aspect of the prescription process and have put in place procedures with special safety nets to account for a multitude of scenarios that crop up from time to time both at the Home and the Doctor’s surgery.
DISPENSE MEDICINES IN ACCORDANCE WITH NHS AND PRIVATE PRESCRIPTIONS
We provide a dispensing service for your NHS prescriptions, whether it is from your Doctor, Dentist or Prescribing Nurse. In addition, we dispense private prescriptions. You can arrange this by simply contacting us via our website, email or telephone. Alternatively, drop in your prescriptions in our secure post box and we will contact you to arrange delivery. In the unlikely event that we do not have a particular drug in stock, we will obtain it for you the same day. If it is an urgent medication which we do not have in stock, we will even arrange a special same day delivery from our local wholesaler. All our pharmacists are experts in medicine and will be happy to answer your queries and address any concerns you may have.
